Multiyear Maintenance Plan for DSM Pharma Chemicals in Venlo, The Netherlands

DSM Pharma Chemicals in Venlo is one of the world’s leading independent companies producing semi manufactured and raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry. Approximately six new different products are annually developed. Production of a new product requires adaptation of the manufacturing site. The Venlo site is autonomous and has disposal of its own fire fighting department, water treatment plant and security. As from early 2009 DHV set up a multiyear maintenance plan for DSM. Read more

Implementation of the Air Quality Directive in six European Seaport cities

The pressure on the ambient air quality in European international seaports is high. International (seagoing) ships, inland shipping, harbor activities, industry and local urban areas each take part in polluting the air. European Union legislation, The Air Quality Directive, sets limit and target values for different pollutants like particulate matter, ozone and nitrogen dioxide. The DCMR Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has assigned DHV to perform an “EU Benchmark Air Quality” for six EU seaport cities. Read more

The province of Zuid-Holland commissioned DHV to write a “position paper”which outlines our vision on how the future of sustainable energy supply will develop.  With the aid of this analysis the Province of Zuid Holland formed a substantive vision of the future direction of existing and new policies. Support point for Noise, Soil, Air quality and Climate (GBLK)

DHV supports the Department of Traffic and Shipping (DVS) in the fields of noise, air quality, soil and climate. The purpose is to reach high quality and a short run-time for infrastructural projects. Special to this framework contract “Support point GBLK” is the cooperation with the Directorate General of Public Works and Water Management: consultants of  DHV and DVS make one team. Read more

Management Industrial Park Chemelot

Sitech Services BV, on behalf of DSM NV, is the owner of the industrial complex Chemelot, located in the south of the Netherlands near the city of Maastricht. With its size of approximately 900 ha., Chemelot is the largest industrial park in the Netherlands. From January 2006 the activities for Park Management were outsourced to DHV for a period of at least 4 years. In 2010 the term of the contract was extended for another 4 years. Read more

Many municipalities are obliged to make a new noise map and a plan of action every five years. The same goes for ‘source administrators’ as the provinces, the Directorate General of Public Works and Water Management and Prorail as well as for Schiphol Airport.
