Over the past 15 years, René Kuiper has been involved in a variety of major infrastructure projects as builder, design leader and project leader. Aside from his expertise in tunnels, bridges and viaducts, he has worked on both roads and railways in rural and urban areas. Based on his experience with different construction types, René is in a position to select the right design solutions and determine the requisite dimensions without extensive calculations.
Given his extensive involvement in immersed tunnels, bored tunnels and cut-and-cover tunnels built using trenches, René is considered the specialist in the area of tunnel construction within DHV. He is regularly outsourced as technical consultant for a variety of (foreign) tunnel projects.
