Jasper Fiselier has an academic degree in physical geography with an emphasis on land use ecology and environmental planning. He has over 25 years of experience in water related projects in more than 20 countries. Projects include wetland restoration and management, coastal protection and development, river restoration and flood management, research programs and urban water management. Within the research program Building with Nature he is working on a manual for ecodynamic design and development. Most of his projects combine physical planning, project design and water and nature management.
In past years Jasper has been involved in projects that develop innovative green solutions to protection works and regional water management. Critical to a good design process is not only ecosystem knowledge but also financial engineering and process management - competences that Jasper handles well.
Jasper works as a project manager and strategic advisor for international, national and regional authorities. In his present position as leading professional he is developing DHV’s Nature Driven Design approach in the fields of coastal management, urban water management and climate adaptation.
