Since mid 2009, Rien Bakker has specialized in Design & Construct (D&C) contracts within the private sector, in particular with contractors. The knowledge and skills of DHV are amply utilized in this process. Next to business development, Rien has been the head of the Engineering (Design and Implementation) department since 2006.
Rien has more than twenty years of experience in managing integrated civil engineering projects, both in urban and rural settings. He has managed approximately twenty medium to large sized civil engineering projects for the construction of roads and structural works. He has dealt with all procedural aspects, legal procedures, tendering matters, coordination of cabling and piping diversions and landscape integration as part of this process.
Furthermore, Rien is a 'Construction Pioneer’. He is on a quest for innovative concepts and forms of collaboration.
