Anita de Werd joins DHV Group as Group Marketing and Communications Manager

DHV Group is pleased to announce that Mrs Anita de Werd MBA has been appointed to the newly created position of Group Marketing and Communications Manager, effective December 1, 2011. She will be responsible for the development and promotion of the overall DHV Group marketing and communications strategy.

In this new position Mrs De Werd will focus on supporting corporate communications, on building the global DHV brand and on strengthening the Group marketing strategy in the regions and countries making up the DHV Group. She will report to the Business Development Director.

Mrs De Werd comes to DHV from DSM where her most recent position was that of Corporate Communications Manager Branding. During her 5.5 years at DSM she held positions in international marketing and communications functions in both the business and at a corporate level.

With over 20 years of international experience in various marketing and sales positions held in Jakarta (Indonesia), Nairobi (Kenya) and Johannesburg (South Africa), Mrs De Werd is well suited for her new role at DHV. She will oversee the global marketing aspects across the DHV businesses often remote from each other and with different cultures, and bring them together as one global brand.

Mrs De Werd holds an MBA from the international business school TiasNimbas where she completed her study with a thesis on Customer Based Management. She is recognized by the European Marketing Confederation as Senior Marketing Professional and has also studied Postgraduate Communications at Van der Hilst.

Extracurricular activities:

  • Member of the Advisory Board of Special Olympics Nederland.
  • Member of Perspectivity, a non-profit Netherlands-based international network that aims to provide dialogue-enhancing processes for the sustainable solution of complex social problems.
