Water distribution and sewer systems

Water distribution and sewer networks are an essential link in the rural, urban, and industrial water-economy. The design, use, and maintenance of these water networks is a specialty in itself: one that raises distinct requirements in each application, and that demands an integrated knowledge of the design, maintenance, renovation, and extension of networks.

DHV possesses this critical knowledge, amassed over decades of international experience and by being an active leader in the field with a hands-on attitude.

Against this background we initiated the optimal use of synergies between sewer systems and wastewater treatment. We were involved in the creation of leading distribution network models and we were the developers of specialized maintenance management systems. Furthermore, as “park managers”, we are directly responsible for several large, well-known networks – this involves ensuring the cost-effective maintenance of industrial and municipal sewer systems.
