NACO and InterVISTAS are committed to developing sustainable airport strategies and solutions. Our approach takes into account the economic, environmental and social impacts on performance. We refer in our projects to the indicator framework from GRI - Global Reporting Initiative (airport supplement) - in order to make our sustainability approach transparent and tangible.
Most of our clients are aware of the need for a sustainable strategy for operating and developing their airport(s). NACO and InterVISTAS are committed to supporting you and to deliver sustainable solutions.
We make a difference both at strategic as well as at a project levels.
At a strategic level we assist in mapping out comprehensive sustainability strategies. For certain aspects, such climate change, noise or energy, we develop specific strategies and policies.
On a project level we implement strategies for existing operations, such as building retrofits, biogas (plus other biofuel generation), greenhouse gas emission reductions, energy efficiency and renewable energy as well as sustainable solutions for airport expansion or modernization.
At this level we use LEED, BREEAM or any other international accreditation system as a reference, whether a formal accreditation is sought or not. We also offer environmental impact assessment studies and environmental management plans.
We believe in the benefits of measuring performance in order to manage the implementation of strategies. These measurements both provide a trend line over the years as well as basis for benchmarking against industry peers.
We can assist airports with carbon footprints, fleet scans,
CO2 mapping of transportation, as well as customer satisfaction surveys.
We also bring in our experience with carbon offsets, carbon credit brokering and formal registration of emissions reduction projects.
