Construction cost management revolves around the financial control of construction projects. From the first stage of development of the construction project, DHV takes care of budgets, estimates, control, and monitoring. We are also brought in for the evaluation of alternatives and for the interpretation of quality.
From the orientation stage to the commissioning, we discern the following general steps: feasibility analyses, budget estimates, development cost budgets, budgets for the constituent elements, management cost checks, lists of savings, additional work and cancelled work, multi-year maintenance budgets, and lifecycle costs. In all these processes, the cost accuracy increases over time with the stages. We clarify the financial consequences of all requirements and requirements in each stage, which prevents financial surprises and avoids quality compromises.
Costing is a precise estimate of the complete actual costs based on a large amount of detailed information. We use various estimation programs for these consecutive stages of cost determination. We also have various methods to determine the quantities, based on NEN 2634 and 2580.
DHV’s cost managers are working on renovation, new construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects in all sectors of the construction market, such as healthcare, education, offices, retail, (quasi-) government, sports and recreation, industrial construction for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy industry, etc., as well as for residential construction.
