Institutional strengthening for IWRM in 6 Ci's river basin territory, Indonesia

Jakarta the capital of Indonesia is critically important to the nation’s economy and houses about 12 million people. Six rivers (6 Ci) form one large river basin in which the city is located. Sufficient water is available, but the people of Jakarta are confronted with land subsidence, flooding, poor water quality because of domestic and industrial pollution, leading to health hazards. A combination of capacity building and IWRM planning is required to bring effective changes.

Storage Volkerak-Zoommeer, part of Room for the River-program, The Netherlands

The program ‘Room for the River’ consists of 40 measures to enhance the protection against flooding from the main Dutch rivers. The project Storage Volkerak-Zoommeer, in the south-western delta area, is one of the last measures for which the design study, the environmental impact analysis and the cost-benefit analysis starts. DHV will carry out these studies for the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. Read more

DHV has provided a new condensate Treating System that is part of a project that will upgrade and extend the existing Kirishi Refinery.
